הטלוויזיה האיראנית דיווחה כי אתמול החל תמרון ימי משותף לאיראן, רוסיה ועומאן. לפי הדיווח, התמרון, הנקרא IMEX 2024, מתקיים במים הטריטוריאליים של איראן במפרץ הפרסי, והספינות המשתתפות בתמרון הגיעו לנמל בנדר עבאס האיראני ביום שישי.

לפי הטלוויזיה האיראנית, נציגים מעוד מדינות ובכלל זה ערב הסעודית, תאילנד, קטאר, פקיסטן והודו, הגיעו כדי לצפות בתמרונים כמשקיפים.
